Look at his D score. He didn’t get credit for the skill.

  Yes, but, his arm buckled/bent and he fell out of the skill he was performing. He should and did get a lower value (as you said) for only going flair to handstand but, he attempted to come down into circles. Therefore, lower value and take a .5 deduction minimum for the mistake of kicking the ground. Honestly we talked about this at the competition, internationally he would probably take a 1.0 for the fall and a deduction for the bent arm.
