While most of japanese best tumblers (Goshima, Hayasaka, Shirai etc) have it this way, it’s still unclear to me what is the benefit of such side deviated front full. Any opinions?

He keeps his arms down almost to his waist on both flips. Notice there is no set on either flip. He keeps his first flip low and rebounds while twisting which causes him to accelerate the twist speed. In a typical set flip/twist and open up, all the twisting momentum is lost. Going sideways is just a function of how he sets up the first flip. Even with Kenzo he does the same thing but not as pronounced. Kenzo will slow down his rotation on the last 1/2 twist but is still twisting continually.
