Rotating as an individual in the AA, Stanford’s Elizabeth Price will compete last after Utah on each apparatus. She’s joined up with the Utes for the weekend.

I felt UCLA and LSU were clearly the best two teams in session 1 of the two qualification rounds. Both could do better in the team final.
It was a dog fight for that 3rd spot.
Spencer of the Balance Beam Situation had called Nebraska most likely to upset a seeded team. The Huskers started strong on Beam and deserved the final qualifying berth. Congratulations. Their fans are ecstatic.

Judging was weirder than usual. Still, rankings for team ended up correct. You could argue some of the apparatus leaders. I’d have given Kyla 10.0 on Bars. Snead 10.0 on Vault.
I’d have Hambrick ahead of Ohashi on Floor, I think.

One study:
Female gymnasts more commonly suffered major injuries compared with men, and more commonly underwent surgery after injury (24.4% of female injuries required surgery vs 9.2% in males).
The anatomic region most often injured in men was the hand and wrist (24%). The anatomic region most often injured in women was the foot and ankle (39%). Overall, injury rates were highest in freshman-eligible athletes.
