nothing against Yul personally, but this “routine” is an obvious example about everything that’s wrong with contemporary gymnastics (as I state in the Jan/Feb IG OpEd piece)…..it doesn’t even attempt to be some sort of routine, it’s just a bunch of random skills bunched together….
mount: pull inverted hang (no value)
pike (valueless change of direction) cast to skill
a lower to “skin the cat” hang to
pike (valueless change of direction) cast to skill to
a lower to “skin the cat” hang to
pike (valueless change of direction) cast to skill to
a lower to “skin the cat” hang to
pike (valueless change of direction) cast to skill
am I the only person out here who hates the kind of hobble-cobbled together gobbledygook that the current CoP permits?

I have to agree Jim. Although there are much worse routines than this one. Some have a stop and change of direction after every skill. I don’t really mind them going to dorsal hang, but they should at least make a transition out of it rather than just stopping in inverted hang every time. Maybe limit the number of inverted hangs and prevent unnecessary changes of direction.
