ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
ALTADORE WEIGHTLIFTERS CLUB
March 29, 2006
Call to Order – Bob McGregor
Approval of Agenda
Martin Vetter amended the circulated agenda to move “Election of Board of Directors” to the end of the meeting.
Jeremy Mosier– Moved to accept Agenda.

FINANCIAL REPORT
Martin Vetter (Treasurer)
Martin gave a brief overview of our financial statement from last year.
Financials for last year are completed and signed off.
ACTION – Martin will copy Joyce (business manager) a copy of the email confirming our rental pre-payment.
ACTION - Joyce will put a printed copy of the email(s) in the AGC and AWC files. This way we will have both a hard copy and electronic copy confirming of our pre-payment.
ACTION – Bob will discuss specifics of our bank accounts with Joyce. Likely we will reopen one of our old accounts in order to more easily keep track of the daily training fees we collect.
ACTION – Bob will pass on our signed financial statement on to Joyce.
ACTION - Joyce will submit our financial statement to Corporate Registries.
ACTION – Martin. A new rental and services agreement was written up for the tramp club. We need one as well. Martin will email his latest version of that agreement to Bob.
ACTION – Bob will put it on the agenda for next meeting as we tabled it.
REPORTING REQUIREMENTS — SOCIETY ANNUAL REPORT
ACTION – Bob confirmed that our report is ready to go once we attach minutes and the results of today’s election.
ACTION – Bob will ask Joyce to attach financials and submit our Society Annual Report.
INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS
Joyce and Bob have looked into our insurance situation. We have been paying $20 / member to Gymnastics Alberta, yet they say we are not covered. We are not registered as a club with Gymnastics Alberta.
ACTION - Bob. We are covered under our own insurance with Toole Peet Therefore we will continue to collect a $20 membership fee but will apply it only to our own insurance costs, discontinuing the Gymnastics Alberta plan.
ACTION – Bob. Our liability insurance for Directors is also with Toole and Peet. But we will switch to another company (as Altadore did) for about a 30% cost savings. Bob will follow up, bringing it to the next meeting.
NEW BUSINESS
Altadore’s corporate sponsorship package is ready to go. Kim Johnson is working on it. We will follow that initiative with interest.
John Arnold and Eric noted that gaming funds must now be spent within 48 months.
ACTION – Rick McCharles to attend the “Facilitation to identify success measures” workshop on April 9th, 10AM – Noon, representing our organization.
ACTION – Bob has paperwork in hand for our official name change. He will forward the application on our behalf.
ELECTION OF BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Bob McGregor - President

Jeremy Mosier - Treasurer
Eric Rogers – Director at Large
John Arnold - Director at Large
TC Edwards - Director at Large
MOTION – Martin Vetter moved we vote for the slate of candidates.
Second – Jeremy Mosier seconded.
All Board members were elected by acclamation.
ACTION – Bob to arrange for Joyce to have signing authority changed to remove Martin Vetter, past Treasurer.
Individuals thanked Martin Vetter for his years of service to our organization and wished him well in his many empty hours. We welcomed and thanked John for coming on board.
Several individuals expressed how much they are enjoying being associated with AWC. We are doing good work.
