Off topic, but wondered if you have any experience on flip turns in swimming. I have gotten into distance swimming and OWS and from that starting to do more technical pool swimming. Have a very smooth and well practiced flip. But I definitely haven’t trained myself to “take off on your back”. I tend to Barani at the last minute. Or even do a little foot shuffle on the landing.

Good question. I’ve never even thought about the acrobatics required for the flip turn. Good luck with that training.
