Derwael and Vaelen injured

Terrible news for Worlds host Belgium.

Two of their stars will miss the 2023 Championships.

More unfortunate injury/illness news: 2-time uneven bar World Champion and reigning Olympic Champion Nina Derwael and 2023 European vault bronze medalist Lisa Vaelen will miss the upcoming World Championships. We’re wishing them both a speedy recovery! pic.twitter.com/DB7jnE4Toz
