Kakeru defends his All Japan Men’s AA title

Kenzo Shirai placed 30th with 161.463.

Kohei didn’t qualify to the AA final. He didn’t finish some routines in prelims.

Kakeru Tanigawa, Wataru Tanigawa and Kazuma Kaya have been named as Japan’s Universiade team.

To clear up any confusion- Kohei and Kenzo could both still qualify for the Worlds team, as due to their EF medals in Doha they have automatic qualification to All-Japan EFs on those events.
The team will be top 3 AA at NHK + 2 selected after the apparatus finals
