UCLA, LSU, Nebraska through to Super 6

UCLA 197.5625
LSU, 197.475
Nebraska 197.0125

Georgia 196.675
Alabama 196.625
Arkansas 196.425

I felt UCLA and LSU were clearly the best two teams in session 1 of the two qualification rounds. Both could do better in the team final.

It was a dog fight for that 3rd spot.

Spencer of the Balance Beam Situation had called Nebraska most likely to upset a seeded team. The Huskers started strong on Beam and deserved the final qualifying berth.   Congratulations. Their fans are ecstatic.

Leading at the half way point:

AA, Kyla Ross, UCLA 39.6375

VT: Sydney Snead, UGA & Taylor Houchin, NU 9.9
UB: Kyla Ross, UCLA 9.95
BB. Peng-Peng Lee, UCLA 9.9874
FX: Katelyn Ohashi, UCLA 9.9625

Judging was weirder than usual. Still, rankings for team ended up correct. You could argue some of the apparatus leaders. I’d have given Kyla 10.0 on Bars. Snead 10.0 on Vault.

I’d have Hambrick ahead of Ohashi on Floor, I think.
