coaching course Edmonton, Canada

Congratulations to those who completed sections of the new Canadian Competition 1 coaching course. Apparatus and Sport Science modules.

Thanks to my partner clinicians Tracey Frith and Kim Baksh, as well as our hosts at Ortona Gymnastics, an amazing facility shared with University of Alberta sports.

Our course was organized by the Alberta Gymnastics Federation.

International gymnast Bobby Kriangkum came in to assist with the 5th and final MAG day.

The revised National Coaching Certification Program is still not widely understood in Canada, particularly by those coaches who went through the old system.

One NEW thing — coaches need not certify in Foundations before signing up for the Comp 1 course. But they do need to certify in Comp 1 before registering for Comp 2.
