Leslie King via email:

MyKayla Skinner of Gilbert, Ariz./Desert Lights Gymnastics, was chosen for the World Cup in Glasgow, Scotland, on March 12, with Amelia Hundley of Hamilton, Ohio/Cincinnati Gymnastics, heading to the World Cup in Stuttgart, Germany, on March 19.

With an eye toward the future, a young, talented group of four juniors were selected to compete in the upcoming Gymnix International in Montreal, Que., Canada. The team for Gymnix, along with the senior level assignments, is listed below.

Gymnix International, Montreal, Que. Canada, March 4-6
Jordan Chiles, Vancouver, Wash./Naydenov Gymnastics
Emma Malabuyo, Flower Mound, Texas/Texas Dreams
Gabby Perea, Geneva, Ill./Legacy Elite Gymnastics
Deanne Soza, Orem, Utah/Arete Gymnastics

AT&T American Cup, Newark, N.J., March 5
Gabrielle Douglas, Virginia Beach, Va./Buckeye Gymnastics
Maggie Nichols, Little Canada, Minn./Twin City Twisters

World Cup, Stuttgart, Germany, March 19
Amelia Hundley, Hamilton, Ohio/Cincinnati Gymnastics

Based on performances at the training camp, Ashton Locklear of Hamlet, N.C./Everest Gymnastics, Hundley, Malabuyo, Perea and Soza were added to the national team.

I expect to attend the Calgary International Cup.

  1. I hate flo gymnastics for taking gymnastics away from the mass and making in a privilege. Gymnastics should be available to everyone. 😦
