Amanda Turner and others on the Gymnastics – A Golden Era Facebook page have a thread discussing the most flexible Artistic gymnasts ever.
Amanda named Canadian Jacki Bender. I’d agree. No other Artistic gymnast ever had this much active flexibility control.

This video was taken at a clinic at (one of my former clubs), Can-Am in Saskatoon. It was the early 1990s. Her handstand coach was Mr. B (Vladimir Bereschnoy), an “acrosport” specialist. The clinician at this event was Yuval Ayalon.
She has the perfect name – Jacki Bender.

Clearly Jacki had the skills of an Acrobatic gymnast. … We should look for Beam specialists in future with this skill set.
