width of Horizontal Bar mats
Nathan Gafuik was competing H Bar.
On a Stalder Rybalko one hand slipped. He fell, landing hard on the red safety edge matting.
Mats of this width were only introduced at Canadian Championships two years ago.
Formerly they were only as wide as the support standards.
Thank Gymnova for bringing such wide landing mats.
Curse FIG MTC for not devaluing Rybalko this Code. It’s obvious that those elements are overused, poorly executed and very dangerous. 😦

Victoria competed double double layout in prelims, putting a hand down.
Then withdrew from the AA Final, not feeling well.
She returned for the Floor Final, however, again to show her big new upgrade.
I put both competitions in this new video for comparison.

Canadian Bars Champ – Hofland
Long. Lean. Great toe point.
I liked Kaitlyn Hofland’s Bars best of the finalists. As did the judges.
