Well, I am an Oleg x 2 devotee, but I gotta give it to Belyavskiy, whom I also love, that was a great meet for him and a delight for the home crowd. Love his floor work so much. This is a very, very nice podium, really.

Belyavskiy – Tsuk double pike went 15.4. Whitlock put a knee down on Shewfelt scoring 14.433. That cost him the AA.

Congratulations to Vanessa Zamarripa – 2013 AAI Award winner as the nation’s top senior gymnast!

Zamarripa

announced at the NCAA Championships banquet on Thursday evening.

Zamarripa is the fourth Bruin to win the AAI Award and the first since Jamie Dantzscher in 2004. Other UCLA winners were Mohini Bhardwaj in 2001 and Donna Kemp in 1984.
