GymCastic likes the Svetlana Boguinskaia acceptance speech for the IG Magazine Hall of Fame.

One of the greatest gymnasts all time, she was many times World and Olympic Champion. A long, long career.

Svetlana Boginskaya was called the “Belarusian Swan” and the “Goddess of Gymnastics” because of her height, balletic grace, and long lines.

Her last name derives from “boginya” … literally meaning “goddess” in Russian. …
