Chance for an AA podium finish if he can repeat this performance in the Final.

I doubt he can challenge Kohei until he improves Pommels and Rings, however. 2014, perhaps.

I’m finding the scores HIGH here in the first Men’s session.

Balandin will try a D dismount in the Final, upping that start to 6.8.
Scores were definitely lower last cycle, when Iarov was in charge of the apparatus.
If I’m wrong, leave a comment.
It was in the 2000 Olympics that 2 ½ was named after Kyle Shewfelt, one of two gymnasts that competed it there.
13yrs later the extra half twist will be named for Kenzo.

He should make the Vault Final. But no guarantees.

Canadian judge Gordon Bennett believes men judging Women’s Artistic Gymnastics and vice-versa should not be considered something out of the ordinary.
“Eyes are eyes and Gymnastics is Gymnastics,” said Gordon, who has been judging Women’s Gymnastics for more than 20 years. However, it is still worth mentioning that here in Antwerp he will become the first man to judge a women’s competition at an Artistic Gymnastics World Championships. …

Thank Meike Behrensen for the interview. 🙂
Silvia is one of the sweetest girls you’ve ever met.
A few days ago she was soaking up the Florida sunshine, a rookie on the NCAA Champion Gators.
I was surprised to see her registered for #WChAntwerp.
On the other hand, she’s competing one of 11 13 new elements submitted for evaluation during the 44th Artistic Gymnastics World Championships:
Aerial Cartwheel Across the Beam
Though that element is hardly “new”, Silvia does do it easily. And beautifully.

Good luck! 🙂
