The Gymnastics Federation of Mexico hosted a Level 2 FIG Academy for Men’s and Women’s Artistic Gymnastics on July 6-13, 2014. This was the 170th Academy in the twelve-year old programme.

Syque: Training for the Games initially started for me around the beginning of May. I had just used up all of my athletic eligibility after competing in the 2014 NCAA Men’s Gymnastics Championships in April – in which my team, the University of Michigan, claimed the championship trophy!I took some time off after the competition because the NCAA season is absolutely brutal and I wanted to recover a bit before starting to train for Glasgow.
