USA troubles on Vault

Certainly a line-up of Amanar vaults might win the Olympics for Team USA. But it’s risky.

… Douglas actually sat Amanar after Amanar at podium training and in warm-ups, hitting only about one-third of the time, and only then after sitting one or two. …

Vault, of all things, was an issue in general. You know it’s an issue when Ohashi has one of the better vaults of the session, performing first in the line-up with just a hop on her DTY. Priessman had a pretty crazy Amanar with steps on the landing, Douglas had her horrifying ordeal, and Ross actually looked like she OVER-rotated her Amanar …

Tide 197.625 – ready to defend

The defending National Champions are looking far stronger than this time last season.

The Crimson Tide was led by senior Ashley Priess, who closed out her Coleman Coliseum tenure with a career-best 39.625 to win the all-around while senior Geralen Stack-Eaton was second with a 39.450. Prior to the meet Priess, Stack-Eaton and Rachel Terry were honored as part of the Senior Night celebration. …
