Final selection event to determine Canada’s five-member women’s Olympic artistic gymnastics team goes in Gatineau, QUE, Tuesday and Thursday next week. Team (likely) named Friday.
Twelve gymnasts were invited to the event, but that number has dropped to 11 following the withdrawal on Thursday of former Ottawa resident Talia Chiarelli due to back problems.

… Juniors Apparatus Final. The young Russian (18) won the gold on Floor : 14.333 (Difficulty : 5.00, Execution : 8.066). Daniel Radeanu (ROU) is 2nd, Daan Kenis (BEL) and Andrej Korosteljev (CRO) are 3rd.
