She’s not been acting in recent years.

Any other nation in the world would be competing Elizabeth “Ebee” Price in the all-around in London.

She could legitimately score 60+.

That’s the kind of depth USA has right now.

What’s next for Elizabeth?

… She will be back in the Parkettes National Training Center on Wednesday morning for a shakedown workout. On July 11, she will leave for an Olympic team training camp at the Karolyi ranch … After that, she and the other replacement gymnasts, Anna Li and Sarah Finnegan, will go to Birmingham, England, to train during the Olympics while the team is in London. …

If there’s any minor injury, or even inconsistency in routine training of the A-team, don’t be surprised to see Elizabeth get the call up.

She’s made no decision on whether to train for the next Olympic cycle. But I’m quite sure she’ll be contending for medals at Worlds soon.

Amazing comeback from Achilles injury.

Hitting her 2 apparatus as well or better than the Olympians. Ranked 2nd on both Vault and Beam. Likely the Olympic Vault Champion IF Maroney was not competing.

Leadership.

Not choosing Alicia Sacramone as a “replacement athlete” seems crazy.

Couldn’t they have named 9 women instead of eight?

Aunt Joyce speculates that Alicia will be asked on to the training squad if any of the selected 8 gymnasts goes out with injury.

USAG did a fantastic job with the event. And Congress. I heard very few complaints over the entire weekend.

Every other nation in the world should be studying how to better market their gymnasts.

I’d like to add my personal thanks to our 2008 Olympic champion for everything she’s done done for the sport.

I was one of those who doubted Nastia’s comeback. I was wrong. It COULD have been Nastia as Bar specialist over Anna Li.

Respect for the gutsy attempt. And for how well she handled disaster.

All eight men and all eight women still have a chance to compete in London. You never know.

They’ll all be training as if they were competing at the Olympics. Only one alternate travels with the Team. I assume the other two will be training nearby, just in case they get the call last minute.
