Update – Commenters tell that “FIG MTC gave him only a D”. I assume that’s not official, as yet.
… very similar to the Driggs (3/3 cross support travel fwd. with hop over both sets of Pommels). Given that the Driggs is worth an E, I guess this should be an F.

Recall the comparison Uchumura and Maroney on the same vault?
This .gif posted on this monigymnastics.
One of Chris’ gymnast showed him this funny commentary.

It doesn’t quite work, however. Maroney fell on her second Vault. Kohei did not compete two vaults.
One-on-one, the girl beat the boy.
Kohei’s the better “lander”, of course. One of the best that ever lived. We should study his technique.

If you are looking for a reason to hate on competitive Cheer, click PLAY or watch it on YouTube. But be warned.
I couldn’t watch this coaching criminality for long.

Talk about giving Cheer a bad name. 😦

I’m with the majority who LIKE New Life (Sudden Victory). It makes the final day more exciting. And reduces the chance that the WINNERS will get on to the podium with a fall.

High praise from Australia’s Brigid McCarthy:
I can’t stress this enough. Canada is doing something very right at the moment to be producing such a depth of competitive gymnasts after a a long period of relative scarcity.
To see this high a level of gymnastics in a competition where not a single returning Olympian was in attendance, and to be doing this at the very start of an Olympic quad is mighty impressive.
Canadian gymnasts are going to really have to fight for places on teams throughout the next quad, but this will only drive them harder to produce high level gymnastics. I cannot wait to watch this Olympic quad unfold for Canada.
