Yao Jinnan (CHN), qualifications, Beam : 14.100 (D score : 6.40, E score : 7.70). Great performance on Beam. Second best score today behind Kyla Ross (USA, 14.566).

I’d call Yao the favourite to win both Bars and Beam.

She has a shot at the AA podium, as well. Her Vault and tumbling were far stronger than I expected.

Low E scoring seems to be consistent, so far.

Yao’s in 2nd place on Beam so far (14.100) — with a FALL on 1/1 twist. Floor tumbling was stronger than I expected.

YAO Jinnan has a real shot at the AA podium with her potential high scores on Bars and Beam.

Everybody loves this up-and-coming talent from Russia. Great potential. #WChAntwerp

Now needs the D-scores and consistency.
