Team Netherlands is VERY artistic. I’m still not convinced you can quantify that quality. Nor make sure the judges reward it.

Sounds like Brenna will get the call to compete Bars in prelims. I’m happy for her. 🙂
Team USA has to make tough choices with so many great routines to choose from.
Needless to say, her routine is far more “difficult” than other Apparatus Finals contenders with the same D-score.

I’d love to see the Stoop Stalders be put into the same box as regular Stalders next Code. It’s “overuse of one kind of skill” to credit both as skills when they are so similar.
A wiki is a blank template progressively filled with user generated content.
Here’s a sample – Gymnastics Wikia – with over 2000 pages.
@gym_report is considering whether or not there it would be a good idea to build something similar for NCAA Gymnastics.

… I’ve worked two years to get to this point, building my skills and endurance back up after taking 14 months off following the London Olympics. While I’m incredibly proud to have made it back and to be representing Team USA at this level, with the honor comes pressure and a lot of responsibility.
The last time I was at worlds, the U.S. team won the gold medal, and I qualified for the all-around final and took a bronze on floor. It would be great to repeat those results, but I have to keep reminding myself to take things one step at a time. Defending our world team title and qualifying for Rio is our first priority. …

Lauren Hopkins:
… Ana Maria Ocolisan of Romania injured her ankle on vault in the training hall this afternoon and will no longer be able to compete at World Championships.
Ocolisan will not be replaced in competition by alternate Andreea Munteanu, who has been uninspired in training this season since winning beam gold at European Championships and is unprepared to step in on any event. This leaves Romania in a precarious four-up four-count situation on at least two events, as Andreea Iridon is only doing bars and beam (though she has done floor this year, so it’s possible she will add a routine there, but not on vault).
Right now, it looks like the all-arounders will include Larisa Iordache, Diana Bulimar, Silvia Zarzu, and Laura Jurca in addition to Iridon’s two events. Scary …

Cuban coach Carlos Gil:
“We face the challenge of a very positive, very optimistic. We are ready. We had a lot of time preparing for this moment and we want to respond to this possibility that has been given us. A great result would be a medal of any color, on any device. ”
The two Cuban guys were a BIG topic of discussion during the last session of podium training. BIG, IMPRESSIVE Gymnastics. A surprise to some who’ve not seen them.
The new superstar from Cuba has competed only one FIG meet – OSIJEK World / Challenge Cup 2015.
Yet in his 1st Worlds he’s a definite contender to finish high in the AA. Strong on all 6 apparatus. Even Pommels. 🙂
