Gymnastics is very, very dangerous.
Naufal Takdir Al Bari from Indonesia was in Russia training for Artistic World Championships 2025 in Jakarta, 2025 SEA Games in Bangkok, and was hoping to qualify for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
He, along with 4 other male national gymnasts and 2 coaches, were training at The Palace of Sport Training Center in Penza, Russia.
He was injured training H Bar. An awkward landing in a foam pit that resulted in a severe neck injury, according to a post from the Russian federation.
After 12 days in hospital, he died September 25th.
I’m sure his memory will be celebrated at Worlds.
