  • International Gymnastics Tournament (“Tournoi International de Gymnastique” in French or “Internationale Turntornooi” in Dutch)
  • August 14-18, 1903 in Belgium
  • competing nations: Belgium, France, Luxemburg, The Netherlands. Italy was there too.
  • Floor, Pommels, Rings, Parallel Bars, Horizontal Bar, Vault
  • also 150 m sprint, High Jump, lifting a 40 kg weight 20x
  • France was the team champion. Joseph Martinez from France had the highest individual score.

While female gymnasts did not compete at the 1903 International Tournament, they did do gymnastics, and their performances were quite the sensation. …
