Former Saskatchewan gymnast Neil Sedgewick died suddenly and unexpectedly. And very young for such a fit man.
He was a performing in a Stage production of Evita when it happened. 😟
When I was competing back in the late 1960s, Neil would play Floor music on a LIVE piano for the girls. Then put on his grips, run over — and compete H Bar.
Though a very good gymnast for his era, I mainly recall Neil being the cool guy.
He competed for St. Joseph’s and Marian Gymnastics which is today Marian Gymnastics, Saskatoon.
Rest in peace.
