The home team will want to finish no lower than 3rd at #Glasgow2015. No matter what they say in understated, modest interviews. 🙂 (Recall that team GBR had a terrible competition at this meet 4 years ago in Tokyo.)
Dan Purvis is a rock. As usual. Very clean. Very consistent. Brinn Bevan is a routine machine, as well. And rapidly improving.
Max Whitlock looks to be back in shape. Love his FX and PH. He couldn’t land Yurchenko 3/1 twist, however. Missed his P Bars, as well. But I’m not worried. The guys tend to hit a far higher percentage of routines in competition than in podium training.
Surprisingly, Louis Smith is here. Though he missed his Pommels in podium mock meet, don’t bet against this guy. He did a P Bar routine, as well.
Up-and-coming Nile Wilson had a poor day. But I expect him to hit when it counts 4-days from now. There’s plenty of time left.
There are fantastic gymnasts from every nation of the world on the men’s side. One who stood out in particular this rotation was Reyland Capellan from Philipines. An amazing twister, he’s particularly good on Floor and Vault.
