Judging was lenient, at times, I thought. That often happens in competitions where strong and populous nations compete against smaller countries.
Gym Blog Brazil notes that this team, even without injured superstar Rebecca Andrade, was “better and better prepared than it was in Guadalajara in 2011”.
Brazil easily could have finished ahead of Canada. I’d say both nations have a chance of finishing top 8 at Worlds 2015. What I’m saying is … Don’t write off Brazil qualifying a full team to Rio. I’d love to see 30yr-old Daniele Hypólito compete her 5th Olympics. 🙂
