Rebecca Andrade suffered a knee injury last Saturday. She ruptured the anterior cruciate ligaments and is out of all competitions for at least the next 8 months.

She’s the top Brazilian gymnast. This certainly hurts their chance to qualify a full team to the Rio Olympics. Recall that Brazil won the 12th and final team spot for the London Olympics with a miracle qualifier.

Rebeca was replaced at the last Youth Olympic Games because of a foot injury.
