The SAGF hereby expresses its heartfelt and sincere condolences on the passing away of 22 year old gymnast, Lindokuhle Sithole from Pinetown Gymnastics Club, KZN.
Lindokuhle was a passenger travelling with 3 other gymnasts on Tuesday 7th April 2015, en route from Durban to Pretoria for an upcoming National training camp. At approximately 4pm, the car in which they were travelling had a blowout, with the car rolling over several times.
The incident sadly took the life of 22 year old Lindokuhle Sithole.
Senior gymnast and driver, Michael Robbertze has sustained a head injury and two broken arms. Glasgow Commonwealth Gymnast Sipheshile Biyase has sustained leg injuries (severity unknown at this stage), additional gymnast Christopher Campos has suffered minor cuts.
The SAGF is deeply saddened by this tragic event and would like to offer their deepest sympathy and prayers to Lindokuhle’s family and friends during this extremely difficult time. …
