After the Montreal Olympics 1976, we Canadians were looking forward to a NEW GYM opening in The Big O tower. The Big O is the nickname of the Olympic Stadium.
The 1976 Olympics lost so much money that the stadium was soon called The Big Owe. The legacy Gymnastics facility proposal was cancelled.
Today, almost 40 years later, a training centre finally has opened in that tower.
Friends of Steve N Sue Arkell on Facebook can see some pics.
It looks great.
No club will train regularly out of this facility. It’s dedicated to special events, training camps, coaching courses, etc.
Congratulations Quebec. π
