I’d like know Michel Léglise’s opinion of a set of Judging rules that rewards this kind of performance with qualification to a World Championships Final.

1st Vault : 14.900 (D score : 7.0, E score : 7,90), 2nd Vault : 14.466 (D score : 5.80, E score : 8.666). Average : 14.683.

Obviously 1.0 is not a big enough penalty on Vault. It would need to be 2.0 or higher to stop gymnasts from chucking it with or without a fall.

Fadwa Mahmoud from Egypt also competed the double front Vault. Similar landing position. But no fall. Better, but still dangerous.
