Terrible news. Tragic and unexpected.

We are sadden to say we have lost one of our beloved coaches Mr. Dian Kolev. He was a part of our MAG family for 18 years. He will be truly missed by all. A Memorial Gathering will be held at the Turowski Funeral Home on Monday, January 21st from noon till 5:00pm. If you would like to help the family you may make a donation to the Dian Kolev Memorial Fund.

Kolev was born Dec. 18, 1965, in Targovishte, where he was coached by his father, Hristo Kolev. He finished fourth on vault at the 1988 Olympics in Seoul — missing the bronze by .038 — and helped the Bulgarian team finish fifth in Seoul and 10th in Barcelona. …
