Emily’s worst fear was that she wouldn’t be able to continue gymnastics, the love of her life.
“I was very worried,” the 11-year-old Emily, a member of Saskatoon’s Can-Am Gymnastics Club, says.
“Right away, I asked my mom if I would be able to do gymnastics anymore. She said, ‘I don’t know.’ I was sad that I would have to quit my favourite sport.
“I would be sad if I couldn’t do it. I would not be happy because I love to flip around. I love being here almost every day.”
