What is Wheelchair Sports Acrobatics?
In the U.K., it’s a competitive discipline sponsored by British Gymnastics.
… One competitor must be a wheelchair user and the other competitor can be a mainstream competitor or also have special needs themselves.
Special balances have been developed which allows wheelchair users to perform these disability routines however the competitors are still expected to complete the same number of balances and skills as the mainstream competitions. …

USA Gymnastics updated a list of those no longer allowed to join (as of Feb. 14, 2011).
Some were convicted sex offenders. Some had lesser infractions. Likely a few are truly innocent, but somehow ended up on “the list”.
I only know one person here and make no claims to be able to evaluate who should be BANNED.

Sabrina has been competing Senior in preparation for Canadian Olympic Trials. But she’s actually age ineligible for Worlds 2011, but is age eligible for Worlds 2012 and Olympics.
Eileen Langsley is a brilliant photographer. That’s well known. But she’s also an astute and brilliant writer.
It’s time well spent reading her detailed photo essay on the 2011 British Acrobatic Gymnastics Championships.
That nation is contending now with the best in the world. Eileen credits former National coach Matei Todorov for a good part of that progress.
