I spent a couple of days last week shooting video with a pro, Chris Hutchinson, from Tumbl Trak. And learned a lot.
Chris gave me advice on how to set up my own system for capturing, editing and storing video clips.
Here’s my first DRAFT sketch up …
If you have any advice, leave a comment on this post. Or over on my personal blog where I’ve posted my equipment and specific details.

A coach can tighten that feedback loop even more by utilizing an Eye-fi SD card in the camera. Essentially, instead of physically removing the SD card from the camera and inserting it in the tablet or laptop, the SD card has wireless capability so that the laptop can capture the video file immediately. We open the file with a video analysis tool, such as Dartfish, so we can draw Xs and Os, angles and arrows on the video or paused screen capture. With a little practice in using the system, we find the kids are still warm and breathing hard from their captured and analyzed routine by the time we conclude their review.
Cool.
I’ll look into the Eye-fi SD card. Thanks.
