THE ALL AROUND – 2011 Worlds Predictions: WAG Team
1.Top 8: direct qualification to the Olympics.
2.Top 16: qualification to the London Test Event as a team, where top four teams will qualify to the Olympics.
Here’s my own prediction of the top 4 teams from prelims (the Olympic qualifying round) without crunching any numbers at all:
USA
China
Romania
Russia
Without Moustafina, I see Russia 4th. The withdrawal of Sandra Izbasa will not hurt Romania, I predict. (Though I’m going to miss her.)
There are more predictions like that from Albert. Jordyn Wieber will win the AA.
McKayla Maroney wins Vault. Komova Bars. Lauren Mitchell Floor & Beam. Details.

While I could see Mitchell repeating on floor, I am not sure I see her winning beam. I think either Ponor or Porgras are more likely, with perhaps a Sui Lu surprise in there.

I think Aly’s the best, but she looks as if she just got out of bed. One sock on, the other in her hand, and she’s wearing roadkill squirrel for hair.
To be honest I have different expectations. I did try to post them on another website but it seemed like the moderator didn’t like them. Guess what, one of them took place already. Here is what I expected:
1- Izbasa out with injury (done) jinks
2- Li off UB in TF
3- Sac off BB in TF
4- Wieber off UB and BB either in TF or AA
5- Mama Chuso is the one to watch in V final
6- Russians are going to throw some surprises in TF
7- Maroney out of bound in FX in TF
8- Mitchell to win AA not Wieber (unless Komova plays mean and go full power on vault and floor)
9- Komova to win UB altogether with Chinese
10- Chuso vs Sacs in V final
11- Maroney under rotates one of the 2 vaults
12- FX to go Russian
13-BB to go Romanian

Maroney is not going to screw up vault. She owns that horse.
