On a serious note, shout out for those politicians who voted to repeal Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell. Especially the Republicans with the guts to do the right thing.
Also the 13 Republicans who defied their party’s leadership to vote for the New START (Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty).
Those two votes almost restored my faith in the American political system. Almost.

Those two votes ALMOST change your opinion? I would think a smart man such as yourself would need a whole lot more than that to restore faith in such a corrupt system such as ours.

I wanted just one day of Christmas spirit … before it reverts to the deadlocked fiscal death spiral.
What a shame the USA does not have a fiscally conservative party. Is there any other nation in the world that doesn’t?

This is late but you should be posting this now. The 12 days of Christmas are the 12 days AFTER 12/25. It’s the 12 days between Christmas and Epiphany.
