Here’s the IG write up on the last day of Artistic competition at the Youth Olympic Games in Singapore:

In the wake of mistake’s from all-around champion Viktoria Komova, China’s Tan Sixin claimed both women’s gold medals Sunday. Opening up a conversation by pretending to joke about starting a rumor is ridiculous. If you have doubts about her age and want to discuss it, you can at least be upfront about it.

I didn’t think it was a pretend joke.

China says all their athletes are the correct age for Singapore. … It was a joke, obviously. It’s tagged “humour” right under the title.

Try not to be Faux News. They like to claim they can say anything just because they say it on entertainment shows that only look like news shows, or because they add a question mark…or a “humor” tag.

I’ll add a HAPPY FACE emoticon next time.

She is around 14 I believe , and wouldn’t be eligible for this year world championship. But she will be for 2010 world and London.
Too bad there are no american in the competition, otherwise the news will be poping up with Tan being too old here and too young in London game.
