50yr-old Jaeger

What’s your excuse?

gymmako learned giants at age-43. She trains 3-4 times / week.

Wish I had a place to take adult gymnastics – would love to learn even a tenth of this!

She’s training a giant 1 1/2 into a jaeger. That’s so cool. Somebody needs to post this video every time there’s a question on a message board – ‘I’m 12/18/35, am I too old to start gymnastics?’ Technically no, no you’re not. Unfortunately, adults have to first find a club where they will be allowed to train and those seem few and far between.

Awesome! I don’t even know if I could pull off a handstand pirohuette anymore…on the floor!

I can’t remember if Dan of our training group was 48 or 52 when he learned giants.

Very cool.

So jealous. I’m half her age and can’t find a place for “beginner” adults. I hope she knows how lucky she is to get to do this!

Most gyms won’t accept adults due to insurance reasons. It is really stupid. I had to quit when I was 13 and as soon as I turned 18 I called every gym and they all said no, everywhere I moved they said no. I am approaching 30 now and I finally found one. If you can find a few adults approch the gym as a group, might give them more incentive to allow adult.
