Japanese Diving Team performance

When I was a kid the Japanese were the top gymnasts in the world. And I had a Japanese coach.

But in the 50 countries I’ve traveled, the greatest “culture shock” I’ve ever experienced was in Japan. This video strikes me as very Japanese.

Hmmm. Interesting concept…but obviously not safe! Hope it didn’t encourage any kids in Japan to try this in diving class! lol…

It’s only unsafe when it isn’t planned. Divers know who will dive deep, shallow, to the right and to the left. Obviously that has to be decided before they start.
