Wait a minute. … That bear is actually from a Russian circus called Sadka.

Why do trampolinists always wear those horrid slippers? They usually make their feet appear so poorly pointed? (although not in this pic of Charles) Surely there is a better alternative than these things? I am almost sure that my mom used to buy these things from the Sears catalogue for me when I started gym in the early 70′s!
ps awesome photos Grace!

I think they have to wear something or their toes can get caught in the web of the trampoline.

When I did trampoline, Dana, … the 1870s … we wore new socks and painted the bottom of them with rubber the night before the competition.

PERFECT traction. Maximum foot point. … But good for only one meet.

I don’t know why they switched.

You have to have something on your feet because your toes can get caught in the webbing of Eurotramps. Most beginners will just use socks because it doesn’t violate the rules but advanced training and competitions will eat through at least one pair of socks a week. Tramp shoes are much more durable.

Yes, I know that they need something on their feet – I just wonder why there is not something that looks better!
