Thank you for posting this article here too!
I really think that the Postolache sisters are unique. Hope they`ll make history!
Are they identical or fraternal?
Usually, with triplets, two of them are identical, and the other is fraternal.
The Mazza triplets (Katie, Kim, & Karen) from Gymkhana in Illinois competed level 10 and NCAA in the 90′s. All three were successful gymnasts for Iowa State. Kim (Mazza) Landrus is now the Associate Head Coach at U of I. U of Illinois’ Allison Buckley grew up around them in the gym.
Troy, I think you have this one wrong. Triplets can happen in 3 ways….
2 eggs, 1 egg splits (2 identical, 1 fraternal)
1 egg, 3 split (all identical) -
3 different eggs (3 babies that are genetically dissimilar)
I could be wrong, but I said, “usually”. I’m pretty sure that your first example is the most common.
well, i know that the one egg with three splits is most uncommon. So that leaves two other choices….we could rock, paper, scissors it…
I choose rock.
