Apparatus medal contenders who did not do the AA include: Brandon O’Neill, Kevin Lytwyn, Ken Ikeda, Scott Morgan.
Kevin impressed by including Tak half immediate Def at the end of his routine. Unfortunately he missed the regrasp.
Our top gymnast, Nathan Gafuik, competed only Pommels. He told me that he’s physically and psychologically fatigued after competing at Chinese Championships and in Russia.
All Around Finals were far better for the Senior Women than preliminaries. A number of different gymnasts could have taken the title. It was up for grabs.
Congratulations to Madeline for coming back so strong on Day 2. The preliminary day scores did not count. This was a “new life” or “sudden victory” competition.
