Olympic gymnasts 20s / 30s outnumber teens

Veterans in their 20s and 30s now outnumber teens in Olympic Gymnastics.

The largest age group in WAG are the 20-24-year-olds who make up 55% of the competitors.

The oldest female competitor is not Chusovitina, but 39-year-old Athens trampoline Olympic champion Anna Dogonadze (nee Mcxeta).

The oldest male competitor is Jordan “The Hotness” Jovtchev , rockin’ it silver fox style at 39. …

I’m very surprised to see those statistics in Women’s Artistic. And highly doubt it will be repeated in Rio.

Zeng, a first year senior and Olympic contender, claimed her first national title with four hit routines, while all five members of China’s Olympic team sat out the competition. …
