That’s what this video of Martyn Ashton is like — only Ashton is riding trials on the same carbon road bike that Bradley Wiggins and Mark Cavendish used to crush the Tour de France. Yes, trials on a road bike.

Is it a stunt? Of course. Is it radical? And then some. And all you folks who treat your road machines like finicky thoroughbreds? You have just been served.

British Gymnastics is delighted to announce the appointment of Amanda Reddin to the role of Head National Coach for the women’s artistic gymnastics programme.

Reddin brings a wealth of experience to the role having competed at the 1984 Olympic Games and most notably coached Beth Tweddle MBE to European, World and Olympic success across four cycles …

… Usada said it “has found overwhelming proof that Dr Michele Ferrari facilitated doping for numerous members of the US Postal Service and Discovery.”

The report showed that Armstrong had paid more than $1m to a company controlled by the Italian and said that Armstrong had conceded he met Ferrari on a monthly basis. Riders testified that he supervised blood transfusions, EPO injections and the use of testosterone.

Ferrari was quoted as saying: “If I were a rider, I would use the products which elude doping controls if they helped to improve my performances.” …
