I intensely disliked many small backward steps into the corner, as we saw in the last Code.
Anything would be better. This is better.
Over time interesting ways will evolve. Corners choreography will improve.
… But if I was Nellie Kim, I’d push to allow up to a 2 second stop before each tumbling line. Deduct steps and hops 0.1. And ask gymnasts to find a graceful way to get into the corner.

Many mock the “perfect” 10 in College gymnastics. But that’s closer to a 10.0 than the 9.20 it would have scored in FIG competition.
