Here’s some Deltchev training VIDEO.

Most gymnasts, male and female, start with layout Geinger. Later doing the skill in pike or straddle pike (Deltchev) only if they cannot compete layout.

I can’t recall the last male gymnast I saw compete Deltchev. Leave a comment if you do.

It’s nice to see some variety in WAG release skills. But I’d only try Deltchev if a girl had problems with Geinger. It might work for those who already do a good straddled Jaeger. Girls very comfortable with fast straddled hip flexion.

Connecting like Piskun does is really tough.

Worlds 2013 in Belgium

The first World Championships after the Olympics I call the “unimportant” Worlds.

Balance Beam Situation explains why.

That said, I’m going. 🙂

Worlds 2013 in Antwerp looks to be really entertaining.

There’s no Team competition, so nations can send the individuals with the best chance of qualifying for a Final. By 2014 it will — again — be all about Team.

Uchimura will again be the man to finish second behind. He was happy with his performance this weekend at NHK Cup.

It sounds like Ryohei Kato has also confirmed an AA spot to Worlds 2013 for Japan.
