Lais Souza, Brazilian gymnast turned freestyle skier, was injured after a training accident in Salt Lake City. She has suffered severe damage to her spine leaving her without movement in her arms or legs. The 25 year old previously helped her team qualify and compete in the 2004 and 2008 Summer Olympics. …
Souza was skiing with her Canadian coach Ryan Snow at Park City and it is known she was wearing a helmet at the time of injury. …

Like most everyone, I assumed Lais was injured training Aerial Skiing for the Olympics. The video hints at that.
Actually she ran into a tree on a warm-up run.
One of the biggest names in Winter Olympic sport, Shaun White, was injured training in Sochi. But says he should still be able to compete.
SAFETY should be the #1 priority at the Winter Olympics.

My guess is that our World Floor Champion will not be named to the 2014 Team. But that Japan will have a long range plan to put him on the Rio Team.
Japan simply has too many strong all-arounders who can contribute more to the Team score.
2) How old was he when he learned his now famous quad twist? 14. “I am small and light, so my twisting skill is better than multiple salto skill.”

THE WORKSHOP: Are you ready to improve your tumbling skills, enhance your circus acts, or dance routines with the best in the business? If so, this is your perfect workshop! You will be given the opportunity to build your tumbling vocabulary and work towards your acrobatic goals. The focus for this workshop will be on basic tumbling technique and will utilize trampoline as a tool for air awareness and a stepping stone for higher level skills. Suitable for all levels.
100% of the proceeds from the workshop will go to Save Temple University Gymnastics.
