Maggie Nichols of Little Canada, Minn./Twin City Twisters, and Peyton Ernst of Coppell, Texas/Texas Dreams, won the silver and bronze, respectively, in the all-around today at the 2013 Mexican Open in Acapulco, Mexico.

Popa was born in Romania but trained in Spain after her family moved there for work.

In Antwerp she finished 12th AA 53.366.

Gymnastics Injuries 2013

A bit of good news, however from FIG:

– At the close of the three world championships held in 2013, the Medical Commission informed that in terms of accidents, this year showed the lowest number of accidents over the past twenty years …

– From 2011 – 2013, the Medical Commission conducted 950 antidoping tests. Three positive, venial cases were recorded in all (furosemide, cannabis, stimulant) …
